I
hate writing in the third person, it sounds so NFL,
so this bio will be in the first person. I
started playing harmonica at the age of seven.
That was back when a Hohner Marine Band cost about a
quarter and you had to watch out for the
dinosaurs. I picked up the flute at age
seventeen and then, finally, started playing guitar
at the advanced age of twenty. Since I've been
working for the same organization for the last 30
years I never had the chance to tour (unlike my
partners in crime) but I have traveled quite a
bit. In my extensive travels I have had the
chance to sit in with quite a few groups in some
interesting places. I've played harp and sung
harmony with Haddaway
at the Sass Cafe in Monaco, played at Club Dr. Jazz
in Pisa Italy, played with Raison De Plus at Maybe
Blues in Marseilles France, and sat in at Cafe Dali
in Panama City, Panama among others. I've been
in a few local bands here, most notably, I-59,
Biscuit and the Blues Bakers,
and The Fuzzy Dice. On a less frequent
basis I've also played with the New River Band and Jimmy Stowe and the
Stowaways in Ft Lauderdale Fl (check out
Rag Top
Day on his site - that's me playing harp), and
Kim
Carson and the Casualties next door in
New Orleans. I've had the pleasure of jamming
with most of the original Hee-Haw band and also Albert Lee
up in Nashville. I've also written and
recorded a few tunes on my own.
