Jan Depner - Lead/Backup Vocals, Rhythm/Lead Guitar,
Harp, Synth,
Jan at Gibson Guitar Cafe in
Nashville
I
hate writing in the
third person, it sounds so NFL, so this bio will be in the first
person. I started playing harmonica at the age of seven.
That was back when a Hohner Marine Band cost about a quarter and you
had to watch out for the dinosaurs. I picked up the flute at age
seventeen and then, finally, started playing guitar at the advanced age
of
twenty. Since I've been working for the same organization for the
last 30 years I never had the chance to tour (unlike my partners in
crime) but I have traveled quite a bit. In my extensive travels I
have had the chance to sit in with quite a few groups in some
interesting places. I've played harp and sung harmony with Haddaway at the Sass
Cafe in Monaco, played at Club
Dr. Jazz in
Pisa Italy, played with Raison De Plus at Maybe Blues
in Marseilles France, and sat in at Cafe Dali in Panama City, Panama
among others. I've been in a few local bands here, most notably, I-59, Biscuit and the Blues Bakers,
and The Fuzzy Dice. On a less
frequent basis I've also played
with the New River Band and Jimmy
Stowe and the Stowaways in Ft Lauderdale Fl
(check out Rag Top Day
on his site - that's me playing harp), and Kim Carson and the Casualties
next door in New Orleans. I've had the pleasure of jamming with
most of the original Hee-Haw band and also Albert Lee up in
Nashville. I've also written and recorded a few tunes on my own.
Cory "Biscuit" Ray - Lead/Rhythm Guitar, Lead/Backup vocals
Cory at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival
Cory has been playing guitar for over 30 years and has been
influenced by many of the industries finest guitarists like Jeff
“Skunk” Baxter of The Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan, Steve Lukather of
Toto, Gary Moore and Eric Johnson, to name a few. He has recorded
and toured with Kim Carson and
The Casualties where he opened for many notable national acts. In
the late 1990’s, Cory teamed up with other Charlie Foxtrot members Jan
Depner and Buddy Dubourg to form Biscuit
and
The
Blues
Bakers. Cory has recorded lead guitar and
vocals on several CD’s, as well.
Jerry O'Rourke - Bass Guitar, Lead/Backup Vocals
Jerry on Bourbon
Jerry
O'Rourke (from Nawlins eight wahd dawlin) has been playing
bass since before Freddy had a Fender. He has toured the country
with Heavy America, The Machine, and St Joe Brickwork. He has
toured both nationally and internationally with the late, great Freddy Fender.
His playing is only upstaged by his vocals. Together with our
drummer Chad they provide the heartbeat of Charlie Foxtrot.
Chad Ray - Drums, vocals
Buddy Dubourg - Keyboards
